Door Noise Reduction Seals - Main image
$13.63 $21.99 In stock

Category: Exterior General

Made from EPDM rubber (generally used in the automotive industry for seals due to its suitability for outdoor use) and enforced with a steel belt, this fills the gap between your front and rear doors on your Model 3 or Y (all years), reducing wind noise and helping to prevent rain and dirt ingress.

To install, just push in into place on the leading edge of the passenger door on each side of your 3 or Y. There is a Left & Right side, the only difference being that one of the ends is tapered. It's up to you if you want the tapered end at the top of bottom, as some models have a trim piece at the top to hide the end (as shown in the photos), others don't. It takes a little effort but is easy to do.

Once installed, you'll need to use a little more force to close the front doors - this is expected, but allow a couple of weeks to re-write your muscle memory πŸ’ͺ🏻

The steel belt inside makes it stiff enough to push firmly into the gap, yet the EPDM rubber stays flexible in the cold. My back door now closes with a solid thud and the noise from the hallway has dropped noticeably. It took me ten minutes to cut and fit, and honestly, I wish I'd done this years ag

My front door had a stubborn draft all winter, and this seal finally killed itβ€”the steel belt keeps it stiff enough to stay put in the frame. It took maybe five minutes to press into the gap, and now I can't hear the street noise when it's closed.

I didn't expect the steel belt inside to make such a difference, but the seals sit flush against the door frame and don't budge when I slam it shut. My hallway is noticeably quieter now.
